date of cashiers check

I was at an auction yesterday, sale by Cal Western Reconveyance. They would not accept my bid because my cashiers check was more than 30 days old. Civil Code and public notice does not indicate this. What is your experience/

Comments

Not surprising. An old bidders trick was to get a cashiers check and then report it to the bank as missing. You had to post a bond, but no big deal, and it was much better than taking your cash out everyday. Obviously trustees have wised up to that game.
