Your not and idiot, it is a common question. The answer is that the My Properties search provides a list of properties, not foreclosures, and properties don't have a sale date, foreclosures do.
To get what you want do a standard (foreclosure) search. Then under the My Properties criteria (next to the search button), set Saved to Yes. This will give you a list of all foreclosures on your saved properties with sale date.
