My house was forclosed on and sold to a real estate company for more than I owe on the loan.

In The state of Missouri. Am I entitled to any of the difference? The home sold for more than I owed on the loan.

We do not cover the state of Missouri and we are not familiar with the laws in that state. In CA if there is an overage and no other junior liens then you could be entitled to that amount. You will want to contact your lender directly or hire an attorney. You may be able to get some advice from a HUD approved housing counselor at makinghomeaffordable.gov.

i hired American Neighborhood Housing Foundation to stop the sale of my home and they did not do it , i could and would have filed bankruptcy instead had they not assured me they would stop it . Is there any thing i can do

Hi Gene,
We are not attorneys so we cannot give legal advice. You may want to get a second opinion from another counsellor or attorney. Keep in mind that filing a bankruptcy typically only provides a temporary stay of the trustee sale and does not officially stop the sale. The lender would petition the court for a relief of stay and proceed with the sale.
