trustee sale postponment, can that reverse once filed?

There is a very long disturbing story here but only wish to get a answer to this question. A trustee sale date was set on my home for July 30, 09 , house was posted etc. The lender postponed that date until Sept. 11, 09  to negotiate further.  Is that date now the soonest the a trustee sale of my house will take place?
Can the lender reverse that postponment for any reason?
I am being pressured into something I do not agree with and need to know the answer to that question ASAP.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE
THANKS

Unless you have a committment in writing I'd expect they can change it up until the July 30, 09 sale date occurs and they publicly announce a new sale date (which they would be bound to).
