Ads saying pay no rent for up to 5 months after trustee sale, how do they do this?

I live in the Los Angeles area in a city with no rent control.

The house I'm renting has been foreclosed and we're currently looking at options on what to do.

Since the notice of trustee sale was given we received a lot of ads in the mail, most saying "we can help you remain in the property for up to 5 months after the trustee sale, during this process you don't have to pay any rent"
Some ads said up 9 months!

Obviously they're trying to sell some service and not just trying to help tenants.

I'm very curious though, how can they do this, not paying rent for up 9 months as they claim ?

Thank you in advance for any information on this.

Scam.... Be careful. Look up foreclosure scams in Florida. This one has been pretty big here. Alot of investors that claim they can assist tenants of defaulting homeowners. Beware. Nothing is free in this world. Just the air.
