basically what are rights are?

beginning of the week the landlady came by and said she lost the house; and we are hearing different stories about how much time we have and what they are required to help us do?

The law requires that you get 90 days notice from the new owner. You are still responsible for paying rent during that period, and if they are forced to take you to court the judge will give them a judgement against you if you fail to pay. That said the owner will probably be willing to give you cash to move sooner, referred to as cash-4-keys. Try to negotiate first and last months rent for your next rental in return for being out in 2 weeks and not paying rent for those 2 weeks. Cash-4-keys is your best option.
