CA - House Reverted TO Trustee at Auction

I am renting a home that finally when to TS and the bank finally purchased it. I was contacted by the realtor that made a cash for keys offer which I rejected and intend on staying until the end of my original lease. I have noticed however that the bank never recorded the grant deed and that the original owner is still on title. I am a realtor and find this very unusal. The bank stopped contacting me as well so I have no one to pay rent too. Very strange situation. Curious if the fact the grant deed hasn't been recorded somehow extened the time line that I can stay in the home.
