The home Im renting is in foreclosure and was at time of Lease, (I didnt know this)

in October 2009. The Management Company is aware of the issues. The Owners filed a Bankruptcy, and the Bank took back the home. Ive been paying rent all this time, to the Owners pocket for spending money. In California, is it against the Law to Rent a home under a year contract, when the home is in Foreclosure?

2. The Management Company said they were aware the owner would be filing a BK 7 and asked them NOT to do so until the end of my lease, were also aware of foreclosure, is this legal?

3. Who do I pay my rent too? The BK Court thinks the owner lives here...........

For what it's worth, I would advise you pay no more rent until the new owner, or Bankruptcy Court appointed trustee, gives you written confirmation of their right to collect. If you're not out any money yet, then don't worry about it too much - it's a common problem these days!
