i think the house im renting is in foreclosure how do i comfirm this

Im renting a home in2406 S. 110th drive, avondale az i received mail to my address and i believe the house is in foreclosure but the landlord is saying it isnt. Is there a way to confirm if it is or isnt? Is this public record??

Not positive about Arizona, but in California, lender is required to record a Notice of Default, which is a public record, and the first legal action in the foreclosure process. It's easy to verify.

You can see the timeline for the non judicial foreclosure process by clicking on this link http://www.foreclosureradar.com/az-foreclosure-process. In AZ they are not required to record the Notice of Default but they must record the Notice of Trustee Sale that sets the sale date 90 days later. Each state is a little different.
You can contact a local realtor that specializes in foreclosures and they should be able to look up this information for you. You can also contact the customer service department of your local title company and they should be able to give you copies of any legal documents recorded against the property.
