Can you walk away from or give back your condominium...

Can you walk away from or give back your condominium to the lender/mortgage company without going into forclosure? I have never been late with my mortgage payments or condo fees. I just want out of this property as quickly as posible. The condo is in Cleveland, Ohio and it needs some work.

You could ask the lender if they'd be willing to accept a "deed-in-lieu" of foreclosure, that would accomplish what you wish. Outside of that you should speak to a Realtor and try to get it sold. Even if you owe more than it's worth a good Realtor should be able to help you unload it.
