what is the average price to hire a foreclosure lawy...

I recently got a foreclosure summons from my first mortgage company...I have two mortgages..I am currently a month behind on the second and 5 months behind on the first..i have been living in my home since 1996 and is currently unemployed but is searching for a job... The summons states i need to respond within 20 days and is trying to find a lawyer to assist me...

Most lawyers seem to charge 200-300$ per hour. It seems high but if they do a good job and explain the process to you up front, you could get a good result for several thousand dollars.
