Best bet is to work with the bank (or investor) that now owns the house. If you can move within 2-4 weeks they are usually willing to pay you $2000-$2500 to leave it clean. If you refuse, they will proceed with an eviction, and in CA that usually takes at least 60 days. If you answer the eviction "complaint" and force a court date that can easily pushed out to 90 days or more. Downside is that instead of getting a check you'll get a judgement against you for rent from the day of the foreclosure forward. Better for you and the bank to just work a deal.
