Although most credit unions are typically easy to work with Franklin Credit appears to be understaffed and the response is very slow.

Franklin Credit is not under staffed. Every time i call in to speak with someone i only have to wait about 1 or 2 min. and for them to get a response back to me it only takes about 2-3 days. they are extremely aggressive in trying to collect full payment in the form of a promissory note on all their short sales. they ask for a 10 - 15 % payoff on the balance of the loan and they rest in the form of the loan in a promissory note. Extremely difficult to work with!!!! they do not let you negotiate with anyone at their company. they will only allow you to send in offers and counter offer and in 2-3 day will let you know if they are going to approve or reject it. From speaking with a lawyer that handles short sale negotiations with difficult companies like Franklin Credit . he said that if the seller is willing to sign a promissory note for about 1/3 of the balance and can get the 10-15% at closing that some times Franklin Credit will work with him, but even then he said it was hit or miss and that the agents will need to cut their commission to 4% (2%listing agent and 2%selling agent) in order for the deal to work. a 1 star company for sure.
