What to do after Foreclosure

How to handle being evicted, taxes, judgements and your credit after foreclosure.

I live in Idaho and walked away from my property (only a 1st mtg, no other liens) over a year ago. The bank resold the house, but I haven't gotten any correspondence from the bank about my status. I did get a 1099, which I believe the Mortgage Forgiveness Debt Relief Act and Debt Cancellation will cover. Am I done? Can the bank still come after me for my other assets?

With the recent backlog of foreclosures and the delayed process from NOD to re title, averaging over 600 days in CA, I am concerned I may fall outside the parameters for debt foregiveness by 1.01.2013. My NOD w/ Citimortgage was 11.9.2011. Question, as a non judicial process and purchase money contract with a potential loan foregiveness of $400,000, can this qualify for an up to $500K tax exempt "sale proceed" (loan foregiveness) as a primary residence that we have lived in for 2 out of the last 5 year time frame?

House was auctioned 2 years ago. 2nd mortgage charged off. The first, however is still looking for $132k. They haven't sent me any notification for over a year. However I was recently turned down for a car loan because this mortgage was still open on my credit report. I disputed and the result was the "this item belongs to you." I called the bank again, and they would only say they want the money and reserve the right to take additional action.Read more

Was just served with papers and are being sued for the remainder of the balance on the 2nd on our condo which was foreclosed on almost two years ago. We had received a letter last year from the lender of our 2nd that they had released us from the amount owed as they were able to write off the monies on their taxes. We are going to speak to an attorney as soon as possible. Is the lender justified in suing us after sending us the letter stating they had written off the debt? The property is located in California.

My husband and an llc guaranteed a commercial mortgage. I furnished the condo as a model with personal property jointly owned.
I was locked out and not notified of the deadline to move. The bank says I cannot get my furniture and they are going to sell it.

we have been living in a family memebers home for 2 years and we want to buy it but had a foreclosure 5 years ago..also the appraiser priced the house for almost half of what they owe on it

I'm in Florida. My house was foreclosed and sold for more than my mortgage. How do I get the monies owed to me? I keep having companies trying to get me to use them to claim my money. They want 45%!!! How can I do this my self and get all of my money?

We were in the process of doing a loan modification and when we called to check the status we were told it was foreclosed an sold on jan 3, 2012. We have the money and can afford our home, if it was bought back by Saxon (which is the company we have our mortgage with) is it possible to get our house back? I have tried calling Saxon and their attorneys several times but no one Can tell me anything. We are in Texas so we don't have a redemtion law. Please, please, please help!!!!!!!
